We are currently looking for a senior consultant to join our fast-growing team in Brussels in the international and European public sector, with the following characteristics:

Main Responsibilities:

You will be part of a multicultural and interdisciplinary team working for European and international organisations. The Business International Organisations team (BUS IO) is contributing to transforming global institutions to design better public policies, enhance public services delivery and improve organisational performance. Our main clients include the European Commission and the United Nations. You will be involved in exciting projects, such as helping organisations undergo necessary changes to perform better and/or to deliver citizen-centric services, contributing to strategic planning, defining requirements for digital tools or platforms, or enhancing interoperability strategies. These projects cover different sectors, such as digital economy, technology, education, employment, international cooperation, health, finance and taxes, green deal, structural reform, migration and home affairs. The BUS IO team is growing to respond to the needs of several our ongoing projects. You are expected to be an active member of team by sharing your ideas and experience with us. Our project portfolio offers many opportunities for professional growth.

As part of the BUS IO team, you may be tasked to:

  • Assist in the design and delivery of a variety of projects that match your profile;
  • Carry out ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ analytical tasks;
  • Elicit business/functional requirements based on the needs of specific target groups;
  • Undertake benchmark exercises;
  • Draft reports about the ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ analyses, summarising the main findings and providing recommendations;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the client and/or key stakeholders;
  • Support stakeholder engagement and communication activities;
  • Organise (online) meetings/workshops with the client and/or stakeholders to present and discuss (preliminary) findings;
  • Contribute to the preparation of offers/bids in response to calls for tenders or requests for proposals.


  • Advanced university degree in economics and management, engineering, or related areas;
  • Minimum four years overall work experience for European and/or international clients after having concluded your studies (this criterion will be assessed against a list of projects clearly indicating the names of the clients, such as the European Commission, the United Nations or other multilateral organisations);
  • Proven experience in projects related to change management OR digital transformation OR business process reengineering OR business analysis OR interoperability (this criterion will be assessed against a list of relevant projects you have contributed to);
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in the following policy sectors: digital economy, technology, education, employment, international cooperation, health, finance and taxes, green deal, structural reform, migration and home affairs;
  • Experience in proposal drafting;
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Working knowledge of French, Dutch or any other EU language is a plus;
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills in English to report on findings and propose recommendations (this criterion will be assessed against a list of up to three public reports/publications that you have co-authored and are accessible through a valid URL);
  • Good communication skills (both in speaking and in writing);
  • Ability to manage workload in eventful periods, while keeping high quality standards and respecting deadlines;
  • Experience in organising meetings and workshops with stakeholders will be valued.
