As part of the continuous growth of everis we are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team in Glasgow.
- Provide on call support
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly tasks are complete on schedule and according to IT process
- Daily checks and ad hoc support request activities
- Ensure business support processes are followed and documented
- Ensure that all calls are logged and the system is kept up to date
- Housekeeping on the SSIS database
- Deletion of checkpoint files
- Access to the production server is via password management
- Minor changes (to configuration details)
- Promotion to production
- Connectivity testing
Standard support activities:
- Missing file investigation
- Queries from project about existing interfaces etc.
- Queries from the business about production interface status.
- Minor changes (e.g. schedule time)
- SharePoint site administration
- Maintain documentation
- Review new interfaces going into support.
- Experience working on IT integration and/or middleware support services
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to demonstrate problem solving skills
- Multi-task, flexibility and fast learning
- SQL skills to query Oracle and Microsoft SQL DBs
- Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Batch technology awareness
- File transfer protocols
- UNIX support commands
- Wintel support commands
- Interfaces definition (IDDs)
- Microsoft Excel (advanced)
